JOSEPHINE'S EVERYDAY LIFE IN MARBELLA

Josephine lives part-time in Marbella with her partner Marco, their dogs Bailey and Teddy, and the latest addition to the family, their son Leo, who was born on June 11.

Right now, the focus is entirely on baby life and enjoying the time in the so-called baby bubble. Josephine alternates between being awake half the nights with breastfeeding during the days, while also trying to get a few hours of sleep and take care of Leo. She is currently on maternity leave, but before that, she actively worked with her social media, where her main focus was on lifestyle. During the pregnancy, much of the content was about the pregnancy and preparations for Leo's arrival.

The best thing about their home in Marbella, according to Josephine, is that she "loves the colors." Everything is in earthy and soft tones that create a sense of calm. Her interior style is characterized by a lot of beige, touches of wood, and green plants. "I want to come home and feel a sense of calm," she says, and she has really succeeded in creating that in their new home. The roof terraces give them a fantastic view over Marbella, and they enjoy "absolutely incredible sunsets," as Josephine describes it.

THE HARMONY BETWEEN LIGHT AND DARK WOOD IN INTERIOR DESIGN

When it was time to furnish the new apartment, Josephine had a vision of mixing dark and light wood – something that wasn't obvious to her from the start. But she is glad she dared, as the result turned out just as beautifully as she had imagined. Throughout, she has chosen earthy tones, along with ample lighting to create the right atmosphere in the apartment.

For the bedroom, the choice quickly fell on the REDMOND headboard in brown wood, an unusual choice she had been looking for a long time. "It really makes the whole room," says Josephine. In the kitchen, which goes in beige tones, she chose the AMI chairs with a brown wood frame and beige seat cushions, combined with a round table in the same brown wood color. The brown wood contrasts nicely with the beige tones, which she thinks harmonizes perfectly with the rest of the decor.

JOSEPHINE'S 4 BEST TIPS FOR DECORATING A NEW HOME

1. MIX HARD AND SOFT: For example, Josephine likes to combine wooden furniture with textiles to create a softer impression.

2. LIGHTING IS KEY: Invest in beautiful lamps and ample lighting, such as spotlights and corner lamps, to create a cozy feel.

3. STICK TO CALM COLOR TONES: Find your color palette with muted tones and avoid loud colors that easily take over the room.

4. DON'T FORGET THE PLANTS: Plants not only contribute to a cozy atmosphere but also help purify the air.
