TURN-OF-THE-CENTURY VILLA IN COPENHAGEN

PARENTAL HOME WITH CHARACTER

We are welcomed into Oliver and Stine's parental home in Copenhagen, a turn-of-the-century villa where vibrant touches in the interior, along with furniture from Rowico Home, create an inviting villa with character.

A BOLD AND TIMELESS HOME

Stepping into the lush, green garden on the outskirts of Copenhagen and then further into this fantastic turn-of-the-century villa feels like entering a place where tradition meets personal style. Oliver and Stine's parents, with their bold choices, have truly created a home that is both timeless and innovative. In the living room, you are greeted by an incredible blue ceiling that gives the room a bold yet warm expression. The pink and green details in the other rooms create a playful contrast that is hard to resist. After the parents discovered Rowico Homes, they fell in love with the brand, and several pieces of furniture have found an obvious place in the villa.

When we were growing up, our parents were constantly busy with projects in the house. Now, after we have moved out, they are finally done – and the home has become a fantastic place. They have combined the turn-of-the-century style with the Scandinavian style in a way that creates harmony and gives us a sense of calm every time we come home.

THE LOUNGE SOFA IS A FAVORITE

The home has become a gathering place for the whole family. The children, who otherwise study elsewhere, are now home on vacation and they are the ones who welcome us into the house. They love coming home and being together. The large lounge sofa DUNCAN in the blue fabric from Rowico Home has become their favorite corner, where they can relax and socialize. It is a place for conversation, relaxation, and shared moments.

SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN MEETS TURN OF THE CENTURY

Cooking plays an important role for Oliver and Stine when they are at home. The parents and children love cooking together, and it is evident that they appreciate how Rowico Homes' Scandinavian design blends with the turn-of-the-century style in the kitchen and dining room. In the kitchen, two ORWEL console tables are used as a flexible kitchen island, and in the dining room, the sleek EMMETT dining table is paired with the elegant HARLAN chairs. The combination of modern dining furniture and an antique display cabinet creates a beautiful contrast – a balance between new and old that feels both natural and exciting.

A DINING AREA FOR SOCIALIZING

When Stine and Oliver are home without their parents, they like to gather around the smaller dining area adjacent to the kitchen. Here, they have chosen to furnish with the TARANSAY dining table and AMI chairs. The Emperador marble on the tabletop gives a luxurious feel to the room, and the dining table's soft edges along with the delicate chair make this a natural gathering point in everyday life. Here, it's not just the meals that matter, but also the conversations, the laughter, and the spontaneous moments that make the home come alive.

ONE FLOOR UP

It's the details that make this home unique. It's not just about the furniture, although they contribute both function and style, but about the warmth in materials and architectural details that permeate the entire house.

— I love coming home. Upstairs, we have an open family room that becomes a bit like "mine" when I'm here. Here I have my clothes easily accessible, and the light streaming in is absolutely fantastic, says Stine.

Oliver and Stine feel that Rowico Homes furniture has helped create an inviting environment, where each piece interacts with the room and tells its own story.

— This is my second home, the place where I always feel at home. Even though I've moved out, I still say I'm going home when I travel to mom and dad. My parents have truly created a harmonious home. It's SO relaxing to come home and get a break from my everyday life with studies and life in my little student apartment, concludes Oliver with a smile.
